Our application uses YouTube API Services. By using DodoTag, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. DodoTag’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we collect
- Video metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, tags, categories)
- Channel information (name, identifiers, subscriber counts where available)
- Video statistics (view counts, like counts, and related public metrics)
How we use YouTube data
- Display video and channel information within the DodoTag application
- Provide analytics and insights for content creators and marketers
- Build audience and persona insights derived from channel performance
- Organize and categorize content in user libraries and workflows
Storage and retention
- Basic video metadata may be cached temporarily to improve performance (typically up to 24 hours)
- Historical analytics for registered users may be stored for up to 12 months unless deleted earlier
- User libraries and saved references remain stored until you delete them or close your account
Sharing
DodoTag does not sell or share user information or YouTube API data with third parties for their advertising, marketing, or unrelated commercial purposes.
YouTube data accessed through the API is generally already publicly available on YouTube. We use it only within DodoTag to provide analysis and insights to the user who authorized access.
User control
- Delete stored libraries, saved items, and associated analytics from your account
- Request a copy of your personal data by contacting us
- Revoke DodoTag’s access to your Google/YouTube account through your Google Security Settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Derivative metrics and AI insights
DodoTag may compute additional metrics - such as performance multipliers, outlier scores, and audience analyses - using statistical models and third-party AI services. These outputs are generated by DodoTag and are not provided or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
Insights and recommendations based on derived data are intended to support creators and marketers but must not be treated as official YouTube statistics or guarantees of future performance.
